ISOKING Mineral Wool Boards Installation Steps
(General version, adjust according to specific project scenarios)
1. Installation Preparation
-Base Surface Treatment
Ensure the installation surface is flat, dry, free of oil stains and loose debris. Metal components must be rust-proofed. For humid environments, a waterproof breathable membrane should be laid first.
-Material Preparation
Cut the mineral wool boards according to construction drawings. Prepare auxiliary materials such as special anchors, adhesives, waterproof tape, and aluminum foil facings (if required).
-Safety Protection
Construction personnel must wear dust masks, gloves, and goggles to avoid direct contact of mineral wool fibers with skin or inhalation into the respiratory tract.
2. Installation and Fixation (Taking Exterior Wall as an Example)
-Laying the Mineral Wool Boards
Lay from bottom to top in layers. The seams between boards must be staggered, with a gap width ≤5mm, and sealed with special tape to prevent thermal bridges.
-Mechanical Fixation
Fix with plastic expansion anchors, with no less than 6 anchors per square meter. Increase the density to 8-10 anchors per square meter at edges and corners to ensure the blanket is firmly attached to the base.
-Sealing Treatment
Seal all seams and anchor positions tightly with waterproof sealing tape or special adhesive to prevent rainwater penetration. For aluminum foil-faced boards, press and seal the aluminum foil overlaps with tape.
4. Inspection and Completion
1. Check if the board is laid flat, fixed firmly, and all seams and anchor points are completely sealed.
2. Clean up residual mineral wool fibers on-site to avoid environmental pollution.
3. Complete construction records and retain inspection reports for future project traceability.
